My name is Wendy Buckley. I am a product of Catholic
Schools. I grew up in Brookline, attended Seton La Salle High School, and
graduated from Duquesne University. I currently live in Greentree with my
husband Keith and our four children. I have been teaching for eleven
years, the most recent six of those at St. Anne School. At present, my
teaching duties are split between third grade and physical education classes for
the remainder of the grade levels. I also have enjoyed working in art with the
primary students. This schedule has worked well the past few years and I
anticipate another wonderfully busy
year!
When I am not at school, my own children thoroughly fill my time. My oldest son is away playing soccer in college but visits home frequently, particularly when he has dirty
laundry. My oldest daughter is a sophomore in high school and plays a
sport for school in each of three athletic seasons. I also have a son in
third grade who is active in neighborhood sports and helps to keep me current
with all things important, like video games and tv shows. My baby will be
here at St. Anne for kindergarten this year. She is looking forward to
riding to and from school with mom!
The two different sides of my life seem to collide in a gym and I am sure I
wouldn't want it any other way. I enjoy teaching physical education almost
as much as I enjoy the classroom. It is a privilege to be one of the few
teachers in the building that has a chance to interact with all the different
grade levels and to see how the children grow and change from year to year.
